Professor Rundle will discuss contemporary developments in Australian administrative law understood both as the law relating to judicial review of administrative action and, more broadly, as the law that creates the framework for administrative action, with a view to explore current issues in the design of discretionary powers, the withering away of the common law and the exponential increase in legal complexity in Australian administrative arrangements (including but not limited to the effect of enlisting private actors to exercise administrative power of various forms).
