Estimados Estudiantes,
Junto con lamentar profundamente los acontecimientos que desde la semana pasada vive nuestro país, que afecta gravemente la sana convivencia ciudadana y que ha llevado establecer el Estado de Emergencia y toque de queda, entre otras medidas, queremos en primer lugar reiterar nuestro mayor compromiso por apoyar la situación personal y académica de cada uno de ustedes.
Para ello, el equipo de la Dirección de Relaciones Internacionales, ha estado estos días trabajando coordinadamente 24/ 7 para mantenerlos informados y para orientar lo que sugerimos deben realizar para poder atender hoy lo más importante de cada uno de nuestros estudiantes de intercambio: la integridad y seguridad de cada uno de ustedes.
Estamos haciendo el mayor esfuerzo para conocer el status diario de todos ustedes en ambos Campus y así poder atender sus requerimientos e inquietudes más urgentes. Por eso necesitamos que completen una encuesta para conocer su estado y necesidades más importantes, click aquí.
Les recordamos que el toque de queda significa que NO pueden salir de sus casas durante esas horas.
En cuanto a temas logísticos de abastecimiento de alimentos durante estos días, les informamos existe una aplicación: abastece.chile que permite orientar diariamente de las opciones de recintos donde encontrar en forma expedita y segura alimentos, reiterando que no existe desabastecimiento.
Para ello, les queremos informar, dado el incierto escenario que se puede dar en estos días, nos preparamos para dos alternativas que nos permitan brindar el adecuado apoyo a cada uno de ustedes:
Contemplando un contexto favorable y que en los próximos días de vuelva a la normalidad en nuestro país, focalizar el trabajo de nuestros equipos en orientar la situación académica de cada uno, a través de las respectivas reprogramaciones y ajustes garantice a ustedes terminar adecuadamente este semestre.
Asimismo, queremos invitarlos a integrarse a nuestras Jornadas de Reflexión en la Universidad en la que participarán estudiantes, académicos y administrativos, que se realizarán en el Campus Viña y Santiago el día jueves 24 de octubre de 11:30 a 13:00 horas en los respectivos Patios Centrales.
En caso de que el contexto sea desfavorable y la situación no logre la estabilidad que todos deseamos en los próximos días, estamos trabajando en un plan de apoyo integral para aquellos estudiantes deseen regresar a sus casas, brindando el apoyo para que esto se pueda realizar de la mejor forma y estableciendo los mecanismos académicos permitan que puedan concluir de la mejor forma el semestre en Chile, para lo cual estamos preparando un plan académico que estaremos informando oportunamente a ustedes.
En ese escenario, con el fin de atender en forma adecuada los requerimientos, les solicitamos, a aquellos estudiantes están planificando su regreso, independiente si la situación se normalice, completen la Carta de Compromiso Término de Estudios Anticipado lo que nos permitirá atender oportunamente todos los aspectos asociados con su regreso a sus países de origen
Asimismo informamos, que a partir del jueves 24 de octubre, se habilitarán dos unidades de atención personalizadas de consultas por parte del equipo de la Dirección de Relaciones Internacionales que permitirá atender sus requerimientos, inquietudes y consultas, que les permita la orientación y contención si la requieren en estos momentos.
La atención se realizará en Sede Errázuriz en Santiago (Av. Presidente Errázuriz 3485, Las Condes) y en el Campus Viña del Mar en la oficina de la Dirección de Relaciones Internacionales. Además, se dispondrá de un sistema de atención online para atender cualquier consulta de temas académicos y logísticos que les preocupen, que se realizará a través de sus respectivos Buddies en Viña (EST) y en Santiago (ESA). El horario de atención será de 10:00 am a 12:00 pm, físico y online.
Finalmente queremos reiterar la prudencia y tranquilidad y evitar participar en actos públicos que puedan poner en riesgo su integridad y su situación en Chile en su condición de alumnos de intercambio, dado que como ustedes saben, la detención de un extranjero en su condición puede implicar la deportación del país.

Along with deeply regretting the events that our country has been experiencing since last week, which seriously affects healthy citizen coexistence and that has led to the establishment of the State of Emergency and curfew, among other measures, we want to first reiterate our greater commitment to support the personal and academic situation of each one of you.
For this, the team of the International Relations Directorate has been working 24/7 in coordination, to keep you informed and to guide each of you in what we think is the important thing right now: the integrity and security of each one of you.
We are making the greatest effort to know the daily status of all of you in both Campus and thus be able to meet your most urgent requirements and concerns. We remind you that the curfew means that they know that they CANNOT leave your homes during those hours.
As for logistics issues of food supply during these days, we inform you that there is an APP called: abastecete.chile that allows you to orientate daily on where to find food in a fast and secure way, reiterating that there is no shortage of food in the country.
The University resumed its administrative management, and our team, despite the fact that the context conditions are not the most favorable, is making a personal and professional effort to support you. Today a meeting was held with both teams in Santiago and Viña del Mar, to analyze the current and future situation of events, and to respond to your logistical and academic concerns.
We want to inform you, given the uncertain scenario that can be give during these days, we prepare for two alternatives that allow us to provide adequate support to each of you:
Contemplating a favorable context and that in the next days we will be returning to normal activities, we will focus the work of our teams in guiding the academic situation of each one of you, through the respective reprogramming adjustments guarantee you to finish this semester properly. We know that it is a concern and we are coordinating it to be able to provide you with a concrete proposal that does not affect the continuity of the semester in Chile.
Likewise, we want to invite you to join our Reflection Days at the University in which students, academics and administrative students will participate, which will be held at the Viña and Santiago Campus on Thursday, 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the respective Central Patios.
In case the context is unfavorable and the situation does not achieve the stability that we all are expecting, we are working on a comprehensive support plan for those students wishing to return to their homes, providing support so that this can be done the best way and establishing the academic mechanisms allow you to conclude the semester in Chile in the best way, for which we are preparing an academic plan that we will be informing you in a timely manner.
In that scenario, in order to adequately meet the requirements, we request that those students are planning their return, regardless if the situation is normalized, complete the Letter of Commitment Term of Advanced Studies which will allow us to attend timely all aspects associated with their return to their countries of origin
Likewise, we inform you that, starting on October 24, two personalized attention units for consultations will be enabled by the International Relations Directorate team that will allow you to meet your requirements, concerns and queries, which will allow them guidance and containment if they require it right now. The attention will be carried out at the Errázuriz Headquarters in Santiago (Av. Presidente Errázuriz 3485, Las Condes, Santiago, Study Room Nº1) and at the Viña del Mar Campus in the International Relations Office. In addition, an online attention system will be available to answer any questions about academic and logistical issues that concern you, which will be done through their respective Buddies in Viña (EST) and in Santiago (ESA). Finally, we want to reiterate prudence and tranquility and avoid participating in public events that may jeopardize their integrity and their situation in Chile as exchange students, since as you know, the detention of a foreigner in their condition may imply deportation from the country
